Action in the district court for Crow Wing county to recover for injuries sustained by plaintiff in a fall occasioned by a patch of cement maintained on the sidewalk abutting a building owned by defendant Hayes and occupied by defendant Eugene Houle as lessee. The case was tried before Alfred L. Thwing, Judge, and a jury, and a verdict of $2,000 returned for plaintiff against defendant Hayes and one in favor of defendant Houle. From an order denying her alternative motion for judgment or a new trial, defendant Hayes appealed.
